The human body is made to move. Without movement, and rather a lot of it, bad things start to happen. But, life is busy, so how do you get some exercise? How do very busy people fit it in their schedule? Exercise will help you feel more alert, and able to deal with everything thrown at you. It is also a great way to blow off steam, and work out some of the frustration of daily living.
Tips to Get Some Exercise
Make it a Regular Part of Your Schedule. I will block off time in my schedule for exercise. Not as much as I’d like to get, with only twice a week that is totally blocked off, but it is certainly a lot better than no times per week.
Consider Getting a Personal Trainer or Partner. I personally don’t like to disappoint anyone. I’ve learned that if I have someone waiting for me to show up, then I’m far more likely to show up myself. I’ve gone a step further, and I have a personal trainer who shows up on my doorstep at the crack of dawn twice a week. Strangely, if I know I have to be up and going before he gets here, I’m up.
It’s the Little Things that Count. I will park the car further some of the time. Get up and walk the long way to the bathroom. Do stretches in my office.
I can’t say that I’ve been losing a ton of weight following this advice, but I am moving better, feeling better, and moving better. I just get some exercise, and move quite a bit more. It also helps me feel a lot less stressed when the world is going off kilter, and sideways like a roller coaster.
