Everywhere you look, there are self-help books, blogs, articles, and tips on how to best treat yourself. Indulge me for a moment, and let me show you 3 simple ways to love and pamper yourself. When you fully love yourself, your thoughts become vivid, your path gets clearer, and you love others more unconditionally. You become more attractive, confident, light-hearted, secure, and yes, sexy..
1. Begin each day with a positive affirmation.
Look in the mirror and tell yourself something positive. Good affirmations may sound something like, “I am strong and courageous,” or “Today I walk in complete abundance.” Pick an affirmation that makes you smile. Even if you don’t totally believe it now, the more you recite it, the more real it will become. Did you know that positive affirmations increase your chances of success by 85% over those who choose negative self talk? Be careful what you feed your mind because it will listen and cause your body and surroundings to obey your words.
2. Remember that the word “No” is a complete sentence.
Love yourself first and put your needs first. You matter. So put You at the top of your priority list before you agree to say yes to everyone else. Set firm boundaries and decide what you will and won’t tolerate. Refuse to allow others to misuse you or your time, energy, and resources. Decide what you truly value and say no to anything that conflicts with those values. A good rule of thumb is to say no to things that waste your time, hurt, distract or devalue you, cost too much, or make you feel used. Saying no gives you time, space, and energy to say yes to better things.
3. Celebrate who you are.
Start by keeping a journal – a written record of who you are. Write down your accomplishments for the day. Make lists of all your positive and admirable qualities. Validate your inner feelings by documenting them. Record the things that you are grateful for in your life. Even track your good moods so you can save them for a rainy day. Journaling not only celebrates and validates who you are, it stimulates your creativity and reminds you how fabulous you are.
Certainly, I can offer you at least another 50 ways to love and pamper yourself. Start here and be consistent with your self care. In the meantime, consider partnering with a Life Coach who can help you change your life by showing you how awesome you truly are.
