Entrepreneur Interview Q & A

1. What is your business/Business Name?  What does your business do?

Kingdom Empowerment, Inc. We provide educational resources to empower and equip individuals to be successful in their everyday lives through radio, magazines, seminars, webinars, and social media platforms.

2. Why did you get into this field?  What opportunities did you see?

I have always helped others to be successful in their life to achieve goals and maximize their potential. I discovered that this was my passion and decided to pursue it as a full time opportunity to impact many lives.

I saw that there was a great need to help women to overcome struggles that could lead to poverty, health issues, human trafficking, etc, which is prevalent in communities globally. There is an opportunity to increase empowerment by transforming mindsets, increasing opportunities, and educating women to be self-sustained.

3. What have been your biggest challenges?

Breaking through cultural traditions that have been handed down from generation to generation, globally promoting early marriage to prevent poverty in the family home (12 and up), work instead of education, lack of support for single mothers, etc. However, I have found that by introducing consistent patterns over a period of time, showing others that it is genuinely effective for their life, and helping them to achieve what they are passionate about, these challenges can be reduced in time.

4. What has been your greatest reward?

My greatest reward is seeing an individual begin the baby steps and move toward walking in their goals and aspirations. I become more passionate when I see that they are able to run without me coaching them. This lets me know that enabling others with consistent patterns and methods over the coaching life cycle is transforming, and there is a sustainable reward in the end for each client.

5. If you could change something, what would it be?

My change would require time to be rolled back to the first time I started a business in the early 2000’s. I would have definitely started with a plan. Change is normally generated from lessons learned.

6. If you could give a new entrepreneur advice, what would it be?

Write your vision down and make it plain. This means you need a detailed business plan to achieve an expected outcome for the now and the future. Learn from your lessons, increase in knowledge, and keep moving forward.

7. Social Media.  Yay or Nay?

Yes, it is great.

8. How do you market your products?

Primarily social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Living Social, and Google Plus. Opensky is a wonderful tool for Jewelry and other product sales. I started out with Big Commerce and found it to not be as effective. I love Amazon and Createspace for my books. All of these platforms are user-friendly, and accessible almost anywhere at any time.

9. Is your business a service or a product? If you are a product, how do you handle production?

Both. I primarily use drop-ship options, except for my BRIA Shea Butter, which is currently made to order.

10. What is unique about your business?

I balance my services with coaching and mentorship using consistent patterns and methods that bring individuals into self-awareness, which increases their ability to define strengths, weaknesses, opportunities for change, eliminate obstacles and challenges within themselves. This helps them to define their vision and genuinely impact goals successfully.

11. Sell me your product/service.
