“Many people believe they have to be in a better place to do something different but what many fail to understand is that one must do something different to be in a better place”
– Myrtha Dubois

Myrtha Dubois is an International Best-Selling Author, Certified Personal Development Life Coach,  Entrepreneur, and CEO of Myrtha Dubois Coaching & Consulting.

As with many of us, Myrtha had to face many of life’s interruptions. But unlike many of us, Myrtha used her experience of these interruptions to fuel her to design a better life for herself.  At the age of 11, Myrtha’s older brother was diagnosed with the shunned illness called schizophrenia and she was elected to be his caretaker.  At 16 years of age, Myrtha was literally (outside of financially) parenting her first-born niece. At the age of 22, Myrtha was involuntarily managing her very own family and learning how to overcome the emotionally draining, mentally abusive side of her relationship.  Time and time again, Myrtha rose to every interruption with three guides:

  • burning desire to overcome
  • whatever it takes attitude
  • every interruption brings a lesson, gives a sense of enlightenment and keeps you prepared.

Myrtha Dubois knows all too well about life’s interruptions, such as feeling stuck, being overwhelmed, confused, frustrated, and running out of time.  But Myrtha Dubois says, “Grow Through It.”

Entrepreneur Interview Q & A

1. What is the name of your business? What does your business do?

Myrtha Dubois Coaching Consulting

I offer Personal Development Life Coaching and consulting service.
My mission is to empower all women to identify who they are outside of their relationships, their job, their social setting, to hear the sound of their own voice, give themselves permission to choose their path in your journey, and to guide them to unapologetically claim and disclose their value.  Using a 7 step process I Educate, Elevate and Empower all women committed to investing in self.

2. Why did you get into this field? What opportunities did you see?

I was born in Haiti to a very small family household. Growing up, I came to realize that many of my female family members were divorced, stressed out, confused, working lots of hours, and had no time for bonding.  I say that to say I had no real example or coach to a better lifestyle.  I came to see that many of my sisters were experiencing one or all of those same symptoms yet fail to do anything because, like me, they were missing that example or that coach.

Many of us have been doing the same thing our parents had done, what our friends are doing, what society expects from us.  Not that its bad but that what they did or are doing may not be for you.

There is a need for a coach who can help us (1) discover what we have to offer (2) develop our gifts (3) activate and take action to reach our full potential

3. What have been your biggest challenges?

My biggest challenge is getting my sisters, upon initial conversation, see they have more to offer and absolutely more to receive.

4. What has been your greatest reward?

My biggest reward is to see those same sisters who suffered with seeing their value, transform to a better place mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially.

Entrepreneur Interview - Myrtha Dubois 15. If you could change something, what would it be?

I wouldn’t change much because seeing the look of joy or hearing the voice of true happiness when my sisters discover there’s more to them is worth the challenge of convincing them to take a chance on self.

6. What advice would you give to a new entrepreneur?

You are already equipped with what you will need for your journey in this life. Yes Our Creator is in Control but YOU are in charge which mean you must take action despite the fear of the unknown because YOU are Undeniable!!

7. Social Media. Yay or Nay?

Yay

8. How do you market your products or services?

Social media, events, and referrals

9. If your business sells products, how do you handle production?

N/A

10. What is unique about your business?

Personal Development Life Coach — I incorporate the 7 Steps that I personally used for my better lifestyle.

11. Sell me your product/service.

Maybe you are that woman lost in the title of the people she serves. Maybe you are that woman at the height of her career but stuck doing more for less. Perhaps you are the spouse of that military person who everyone expects to fill the gap when they are gone, leaving you tired and in much need for some self-care. Maybe you are that woman who has always been told and volun-told what to do most of her life but is facing a moment where no one else is available and her immediate decision is necessary to save her life or the life of a loved one. What will you do?

My passion is to Educate because when you know better and have the tools to do better, you will; to Elevate because when you can do better you have more options and can be more flexible, unstuck; to Empower because when you can freely do YOU, you will live to your full potential and be the example for someone else.

If you want to get rid of the overwhelm, gain clarity, change your activities so that you have more free time in your day, let’s schedule some time on your calendar for this upcoming week. I have Tuesday open. What time can you make yourself available?

12. How can people get in touch with you? What’s your website url and contact information?
