At the end of the day, I have a roof over my head, my children are safe in their beds, and food is in their bellies. That is not true of so many families in Oklahoma tonight. I think that it is events like this that put life into true perspective. At the end of the day, family is what really matters. Even though it’s 10:15 PM, and my little guy is running around the house, slamming doors, and barking like a seal, I am grateful. It is all about perspective.
My heart breaks for the families in Oklahoma. They have lost their homes, their loved ones, and their sense of security. Life will never be the same again, yet it will continue for the survivors. It will be a tremendous struggle to rebuild, and go forward. I pray for peace for them, and strength to get through the days ahead. Their trials put everything into perspective.
Hopefully we will pull together as a nation and as humanity to support those grieving and affected by this storm.
