I’m pretty sure that by now, most people have heard that the south is snowed in, and have been having a field day with the cars stuck on the roads, and the pictures that went viral on the internet. I posted one of them above. The roads are a mess, and let’s be honest, we’re snowed in. My advice at times like this is to take time to enjoy the snow.
Here are some things you can do to take time to enjoy the snow:
- Spend the time with your family
- Build a fire
- Cook something special that you wouldn’t have time to do otherwise
- Write some blog posts
- Get taxes and paperwork done
- Play a board game or cards with the kids
- Build a snowman
- Take a long, hot bath
There are so many things that you can do, that don’t involve getting out on the road and driving places right now. Take advantage of them, instead of going stir crazy!
As for me, I’m filling out camp applications for this summer, making summer travel plans, writing a series of blog posts for this blog, Extension of You Home Care, and HappySchools. I’m studying for my CSA (Certified Senior Advisor) exam, and spending time with the family. I’ve also been teaching my children how to build a fire, and keep it going.
What about you? What are you doing during the snowy weather?
